My Everyday Makeup Routine

My routine lately has been pretty low maintenance, I must say. Since I usually frequent the gym after work I like to keep a light base. I literally just use the Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer as my base, but apply it mainly under my eyes chin and the middle of my forehead. But before that, I always(always) apply sunscreen. Right now, I use the Biore Aqua Rich sunscreen. 

Then I set my face with the Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation in Fair Honey. This is a really good powder to keep you matte most of the day. It also makes a bulletproof base paired with the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Full Coverage Foundation in Ivory.

Any who, I then apply my bronzer, blush and highlight(standard). I’ve been bronzing up with the Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder in Bronze-01 because I felt like I wasn’t giving it much love recently. I blush with my current favorite Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 hour Blush in Exposed and highlight with my new ultimate fave, Colourpop Supershock highlight in Lunch Money. It is seriously life changing.

For the brows, I amazingly still use the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer in Medium Brown because it still hasn’t run out yet! I must say that you definitely get a bang for your buck on this one rather than the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Medium Brown. One the eyes, I just splash a little bit of depth in with the Bobbi Brown Holiday 2014 Palette and the K-Palette 1 Day Lash Perm, which really does hold a curl very well and does make you look like a Panda after a hot shower.

Lastly for the lips, I like to keep it simple. The Urban Decay Comfort Matte Lipstick in Stark Naked paired with the Revlon Colorstay Liner in Rose is a good low maintenance lip duo.

L’Oreal Visible Lift Blur Foundation | The Review

Whenever I need to review a new base product, I always test them out a few weeks in advance to thoroughly review the  product. With the L’Oreal Paris Visible Lift Blur Foundation, right of the bat, I already knew that this product was an anti-aging product, which was a first for me, in terms of foundations.

It owns up to their claim that it erases fine lines, wrinkles and smoothens skin because upon application it almost felt like I was putting on a mattifying primer. It really looked like it smoothened my skin! Amazing!

But what I don’t get is the “Visible Lift” aspect. Maybe in the long run, if I use this product for the next 3 years, I might be able to see the ‘lift’ they were talking about. But I noticed no instant lift results on application.

Maybe it was the shade that I got, but I noticed that when I tried to apply this to cover my under eyes, all it did was emphasize it. Although I think it was because the shade I got had a blue undertone.

But in terms of consistency, this foundation easily blends on skin even if it isn’t the perfect match.

So should you get this foundation? Since this base is a bit on the pricey side of drugstore bases($14.99), maybe you should just grab the L’Oreal True Match Foundation.

How To Stay Healthy If You Don’t Have Time For The Gym

If you are a working gal like me, your only chance to work out is waking up at the crack of dawn or running to the gym straight out of work, but when six o’ clock strikes motivation is nowhere to be found! So how can a career girl/boy like yourself stay healthy?


Watch TV and…

Got a few TV series you need to catch up on? I know I do! One of my lazy, but super effective tricks to hitting two bird with one stone is exercising while watching TV. Whether you are doing some squats, leg lifts or cycling, just keep moving!

Workout From Home

Exercising at home works for a lot of people especially when they aren’t so comfortable with exercising in public yet. Trade in a Netflix show for a 30 minutes workout show or Try using the NikeFit app!

Commute To Work

If you live a few blocks away from your work, you might be better off walking the extra mile than taking the bus or the train there. Burn whatever calories you can before you are stuck sitting at your desk!

Make Working Out A Thing

Working out can easily become a time for you to catch up with your friends instead of catching up over a bottle of wine. Take a walk outside with the girls. Nature can do wonders for your quality of life!

Take The Stairs

I am SO guilty of this. I always prefer taking the lift or the escalator. Take the stairs or maybe even run up them. You can even skip some steps to add some extra workout points! You will be burning calories and toning your legs at the same time.
