Personally, I am a huge fan of Sundays. Its the best time for me to wear what ever I want in the comfort of my own home. Its also the best time for me to practice applying different types of make up.
But Sundays like these, I do plan on just being a total granny and some of the usual errands like accept parcels and do some groceries–Not much human interaction.
I started with my bareMinerals Complexion Rescue in Vanilla 02 as my base and applied it with a damp faux beauty blender for a more defused coverage. Then I applied Benefit Erase Paste in Fair under my eyes since it is pink toned to counter act dark circles. Since I wanted to add more coverage on my base, I applied Max Factor CC Colour Correcting Cream Instant Complexion Enhancer in 40 Fair on my areas with scarring–i.e. old spots on my cheeks. To top it all off, powdering my face with the Make Up For Ever High Definition Pressed Powder. I usually use a setting brush to directing set my under eyes with powder too.
I then started bronzing up my pale skin with the Physician’s Formula Happy Booster in Bronze/Natural. I really love their bronzers. I think they are honestly the best bronzers you can get in the drugstore–US Drugstores *sad face*. This bronzer has a bronzing side and a blush side. WIN WIN! Bu sadly, mine is nearing is deathbed. I need to find another of their bronzers ASAP!
I think the Bobbi Brown Holiday 2014 Warm Eyeshadow Palette is the best palette for someone who isn’t a pro when it comes to eyeshadow. It definitely isn’t cheap but the shades in it are so versatile that you can do so much with just 6 shades. As I was applying my eyeshadow, I realized that the forgetful girl that I am totally miss out in choosing an eyebrow pencil. Never fear! I improvised by using the brow shades in my eyeshadow palette to fill in my brows. Not too bad I think!
Lastly, I just slapped on a tinted balmy lipstick just to show a bit of color and a light mascara to add some color and definition.
Well, this is awkward. I don’t usually take selfies like these often. So this was my final look, before it got rained on. You can definitely still see my sun spots and some scarring but thats the whole point of a light base. And honestly, I have come to appoint in my life that I have learned to embrace my insecurities–i.e. my freckles. Every freckle tells a story or an important experience in my life–DRAMA!. Anyway, this look is definitely one of my favorites to slap on a rainy Sunday. I am a basic b*tch like that.
