I am not one to be super enthusiastic about halloween to be honest. The first thing I remember when the word Halloween comes to mind, is teenage girls forcing themselves to wear skimpy outfits, too much bad makeup and a whole lot of pirate costumes. I on the other hand, prefer to be home enjoy my fair share of halloween candy–TRU.
As my way to push myself to be more excited about such event, I have created this post to share what a less enthusiastic human like myself would slap on. So Spiderwoman it is!
To start off, I wanted my base to be as white as possible. So I used the lightest foundation in my collection, L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Mate Foundation in Ivory and paired it with my MAC concealer in Pale Pink and Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer in Neutralizer. And to set it, some MUFE HD Pressed Powder under the eyes and Shu Uemura Loose Powder in Translucent. I packed on as much powder as possible because we all know what happens on a hallows eve, we get all sweaty.
Next are the eyes, I wanted a really shimmery dark cat eye. So to start I dabbed some MAC Creme Shadow in Groundwork around my whole lid then thickly lined my KIKO shimmer shadow stick in 02(alternative product) on the line of my lid. To mattify my crease a bit, I blended some Taupe and Mauve from my LORAC Pro to give it more of a neutral smoky look. Then I lined my lower inner water line with a black Maybelline ColorShow Coal Liner in Black. This eye look wouldn’t be complete without a cat eyeliner with K-Palette Liquid Liner then started to fill in my brows with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Medium Brown.
Here comes the tricky part, the webs! Some people would prefer to use black liner instead and it is completely up to you. But I personally wanted blue. With that, I used the NYX Eye/Eyebrow Liner in 913 Sapphire. I started marking the longer bits around my eye like drawing rays of the sun. Once everything was lined correctly, I drew in the curved parts in between. Two layers would be enough but I thought my face had enough space for 3! Then I added some shape and shadow to my cheeks with the Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer–I went kind of heavy on this.
To top of this look, I tied it all up with some Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting Finish Matte Lipstick in 107 for a dark berry lip. VOILA! No Mascara needed!
