The Christmas season is known to be when everybody goes out to parties and gatherings that need a little bit of dressing up to do. With that, I am aware that not everybody has the biggest budget when it comes to makeup and what not. So this is my attempt on creating a totally drugstore makeup look. But I was cheating a bit! I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow wiz for my brows because I don’t have any drugstore product for my brows!–hehe..
To start, I used the my trusty L’Oreal Le Teint True Match in R2 for my base. To conceal and hide, I used Revlon Colorstay in 02 Light as a my yellow concealer and Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer in Brightener for a more pinkish toned concealer. And to set my base, Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in 005 Silky Beige all over areas where I get most oily.
To add more shade to the dimensions of my face, I used the Rimmel Natural Bronzer in 021 Sun Light, for highlight, the Collection Shimmer Shades and to add some color and life to the apples of my cheeks, Revlon Blush in Melondrama.
The Wet n Wilde Eyeshadow Palette in Petal Pusher Palette was actually the center of this look because I wanted to create a look that would match the shades in this palette because purple can be a bit of a hard shade to work with. To add some more definition, the Maybelline Colorshow Eyeliner really helped give me that feline flick.
For ym brows and the only non-drugstore product here, Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Medium Brown because I yet to find the perfect drugstore brow pencil for myself. To add some lengthening and definition, the Maybelline the Hyper Curl Mascara did the trick. I did a review of this mascara previously on this blog–like here!
Since my eyeshadow already had a bit of color to it, I didn’t want to go all out on my lips because it might just look a bit messy and uncoordinated. So I used a nude lip pair that is the Rimmel Lasting Finish Lip liner in 049 Natural and NYX Matte Lipstick in Thalia.
What do you think? Did I pull off the (almost)drugstore makeup look?
I would love to see some of your renditions!
