The year 2015 was filled with so many new product launches, budget and high-end and new makeup trends. But at the bottom of it all, the quality it gives is what matters the most and this is what makes them a cult favorite. This post will be quite long but I trust you it’ll be worth it knowing all the great qualities these products have!
This year I discovered the use of the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. It is a much less cheaper version of the original beauty blender but practically the same in function and use. I didn’t quite understand its use when it came out but when I got the hang of how to use it, damn, its good! I got the Tarte Amazonian Clay BB Tinted Moisturizer during the second half of the year and it seriously converted me to a tinted moisturizer girl. It is so much lighter than the full coverage version–which I have and reviewed previously. This is so great for everyday use. Tarte gets an A+ for this. A full review coming soon!
There have been two concealers that have been doing great for me this year, the Benefit Erase Paste and L’Oreal True Match Corrector are such great products to hide your dark circles and spots. The L’Oreal corrector really matches my skin tone and is really light weight! A review will be up soon for these two!
For powders, the Make Up For Ever HD Powder has made me never want to go back to my other setting powders or powders in general. I especially like this for setting my concealer. Its so good that I am already looking for a back up! I am sure some of you may know how much I love the Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil and all its bronzing powers. I actually already made a review on this, link here! For those who love a peachy glow, the Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso is such a great choice! I wish I had got more of their blush shades! Its seriously pigmented.
With lots of practice and determination, I finally got to learn how to apply liquid liner like a normal person. The K-Palette Liquid Liner made it a hundred times easier to apply and practice during my free time.
I have tried paint pots from budge bands and they were great but if you’ve got some extra money to spend, MAC Pro Longwear Paintpot in Groundwork would be it! It lasts the whole day and makes for a great base. But most of all it doesn’t dry up!Covergirl Clumpcrusher Extensions Lashblast are one of the mascaras that converted me into a budget mascara buyer. There isn’t any point on buying expensive mascaras because the drugstores have equally amazing ones! I have a review on this mascara, like here!
During the second half of the year, I was on the quest of finding cheap lip liners–because nobody has enough money to buy all the shades of MAC lip liners. Thankfully, I got my hands on the Catrice Long Lasting Lip Pencil in Upper Brown Side. Its the perfect dark nude for me and did I mention its below a P100.00? Lastly, for everday lip shine and beautifying, the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector did the job and did it well. Its the perfect on the go, slap on your face lip product. This is the lightest shade. But I plan on getting their other shades.
