Colourpop Liquid Lipsticks | First Impressions & Try-On

I first came across the brand Colourpop last year as I was watching my usual Youtube beauty channels. To be honest, I already knew they were good, but I didn’t know they were THAT good. Its quite hard to believe that they are priced the way they are because the quality is exceptional.

Since I couldn’t get the whole collection…-DUH(Colourpop, DM me and we can make arrangements) I just got one each from the Ultra Matte Lip and Ultra Satin Lip collections. I got the shade Beeper from the Ultra Matte Lip collection and Echo Park from the Ultra Satin Lip collection.

So let me talk about the first shade, Beeper. I bought this shade because according to my research, this shade is an exact shade to Kylie Lip Kit’s Dolce K(let me know if you want a pose about that). I find that the shade dries a bit darker after application which is sort of misleading in a way. Not that is a bad color but its just different. I found that the shade was really drying. Like sucking out all the nutrients and energy out of my lips, kind of drying. Though I can guarantee that it’ll stay on for a long period of time, I am not sure that it would be a good decision to wear this formula on the daily.

The second shade I got was Echo Park from the Satin Lip Collection. I got this shade because it reminded me of (my many) your lips but better nudes. the way I describe it is that it is a peachy nude. It is a bit like MAC’s Velvet Teddy but a tad bit on the bright side. I honestly prefer this formula than the first one. Even if this formula is a bit sticky on application, I got to say that it wears on the lips WAAAAY more comfortably. And it still has its fair share of staying power while eating and drinking.
