Less is more.
To be absolutely honest now, when it comes to makeup and skin care, I don’t exactly live with less(but if you want a post about all that, just HOLLA!).
But since living with less in general, especially with clothes is a problem of the majority. I probably have ten shirts and blouses in rotation, and probably three bottoms I use regularly. That’s how basic I can get IRL. And this also applies to material things, relationships and etcetera because it just makes your life simpler(less things to think about) and makes you be #grateful(#blessed) all day, everyday for everything that you already have.
Neutrals are key.
This is just a personal preference but I prefer to have clothes that have no pattern or have minimal pattern or clothes with a more subtle color tone, so it’ll be easier for me to mix and match on the go(because I am last minute). Although the whole material and texture side is a whole different ball park that I prefer to play in.
Don’t let negativity get to you.
Recently, there is always been something negative to discuss about, whether it be politics, economics or war. But is it really worth your time if it just brings you down? Acknowledging that this is happening in the world is one, but making it drag you down the whole day is another. The best solution would be to live your best life(filled with care bears and cute babies) and continue to be optimistic.
Oprah & Beyonce are your KWEENS.
I wouldn’t call myself a feminist(because I don’t think women are better than men) because I am all for equality between all genders. But I appreciate it when women empower each other because we are literally all in this together! and there is so point in bringing each other down. The message that Oprah and Queen Bey give is that women are strong, independent and can make their mark in the world!
Talk is cheap.
Gossip… This is something that I try my best to stay out of, either being the one gossiped about or the one gossiping about another because TBH, you are just creating more conflict to deal with. Instead of talking (shit) behind people’s back why can’t we just acknowledge their success?!
