Inspiring Instagram Accounts To Follow

Instagram is a great social media platform to express your interests and share your unique story. I also think that Instagram really does help create traffic for my blog and other platforms with the use of using hashtags and tagging brands on featured photos.

Today I share with you my favorite Instagram accounts across the interweb! As some of you may know, I am a huge fan of architectural design, beauty and travel. Following these incredibly talented people and successful brands encourage me to push the envelope in the jobs I do. I hope these individuals give you all kinds of wanderlust, make you dream a little bigger and inspire you to create your own story as they’ve done for me.

Festive Make Up Look

Christmas is just around the corner! This makeup tutorial is a more subtle look to my previous make up tutorial post. This look also comprises of more high end products compared to the last. I would wear this look everyday if I had the time to put all this on too. I am a sole believer of a shimmery brown eye!

To start, I obviously moisturized my face then applied Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Foundation in Ivory. The name of this product is really true to its purpose. Its definitely FULL coverage. For a full coverage concealer to match, I used the Urban Decay NAKED skin Complete Coverage Concealer in Fair Neutral and a pink toned concealer, Benefit Erase Paste in Fair. With all that product, I need to set it with a powder. For my face, I used Shu Uemura Loose Powder in Translucent and for my under eyes, Make Up For Ever HD Powder.

To add a subtle warmth to my cheeks, the Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder in Bronze-01 gave just that. I love how non-orangy it is. I love also that the compact is convex inside! The blush I used was the Savvy Classic Blush in Silky Pink. I didn’t want the pick to be too bright because I didn’t want it to over power my whole look. An odd thing I did was that I used an eyeshadow for my highlight. I used the Almay Eyeshadow in Creme Brulee. It wasn’t too eye catching or powdery which is GREAT!

For eyes, I distributed a substantial amount of Maybelline Color Tattoo in 80 Creamy Beige on my eyelid for good neutral base. The I grabbed the Lorac Pro To Go and used both shades, Cafe and Pearl to further intensify and enhance. But I am not done just yet! I added some shimmer using Tony Moly Eyetone Shimmer in S02 on the center of my eyelids to emulate that my eyes are popping a bit–in a good way of course!

For the lips, I showed two options. I personally like the brighter option. The brighter option is the Revlon Colorburst in Candy Apple. It is a more youthful shade but it is a bit harder to match in terms of outfit. While the darker and more vampy option is the Rimmel London Provocalips in 550 Play with Fire.

Spreading Love This Christmas

IMG_3917 copy

I stumbled upon these lovely gifting cards and postcards during the CIS bazaar last November at the Oakridge tent in Cebu, Philippines. The lady told me she actually watercolor painted them herself and then scanned them which made them extra personalised. I am such a sucker for postcards and lovely greeting cards.

So since ‘Tis the season to be jolly’a simple way to do that is to spread some love. It doesn’t have to be through material things or through throwing a wad of cash at someone. A little way I like to share the ‘love’ is to write letters to the people I care dearly about. It becomes more sentimental and special when you see someone’s hand writing I think–good or bad! The note doesn’t even need to have a season for its purpose. It can be for when someone is going through a rough time or maybe you just really miss them. But since it is the Christmas season, send a letter to your friends and family near or far and tell them how important they are to you, how much you love them and of course, send them lots of x’s and o’s this yuletide season!
