A Photo Diary | Semana Santa “Holy Week”

This is an “I am so sorry I haven’t drafted a blog post for this day” type of post. Due to the lack of internet resources last week, I wasn’t able to write up a blog post for you guys.

I hope this could suffice though.

I have plenty of favorite things in my life at the moment. But something that I think I will never get sick of, are sunsets. Each different in its own way. But equally beautiful in its own way. Sunsets remind me that everyday is another chance to mend bridges, build meaning relationships with one another and more chances to make a difference tomorrow.

Here are a few photos that I took in my little slice of heaven on earth.

January Favorites & Life Update

dsc09044-2I don’t really have a lot of beauty favorites this month…Ever since I started my job, I have been starting my days extra early with going to spin class then rushing to work with no time to spare. So the concealer-power-mascara look has been my daily go to office look!

But if you’d like to know what I have been putting on my face…In (sort of) this order, Maybelline Fit Me! Concealer in 10 LightRimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Silky BeigeMaybelline Master Sculpt on 01 Light/Medium, L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara and Urban Decay Comfort Matte Lipstick in Stark Naked. Viola!

In other news, I took a quick trip to the beach up north for a weekend and got to take lots of photos of landscapes and what not! Here are some of the photos that I took!

Yes, I just started a new job! And I am enjoying it so far! I am currently working as an Apprentice at an Architectural firm. I am definitely excited to learn more in the coming months and meet new people in my chosen field!

The Great Ocean Road | Victoria Photo Diary

It has been a long time dream of mine to see the 12 Apostles with my very own eyes for as long as I could remember. These things might just be huge rocks to others but to me they are more like art forms that nature moulded and is continuing to mould as time passes. And apparently, there are about 9 Apostles left! (sad face)

To my surprise, There were other versions of the 12 Apostles along the coast of Port Campbell and they were just as beautiful! We took a tour bus there because we found it would be less of a hassle than renting a car and navigating our way there. So we booked a tour through Viator and chose this specific tour. I wouldn’t say this was the most “fun” tour I have been on because a 14 hour day tour is NO FUN. But the views we saw were simply breathtaking(in my opinion). Some might disagree.

Aside from the 12 Apostles, we got to see the London Bridge(not in actual London), The Arch, Loch Ard Gorge, The Grotto, Bay of Martyrs and stopped by Port Campbell for a quick lunch. I would be lying if I said that the tour didn’t tire me out because it definitely did. But it was so worth it though!

It was a 15 minute walk to see the 12 Apostles from the visitor’s parking because the coastline continues to recede. Global warming 😦 But look at what you are welcomed with… It was definitely one of those “I am so lucky to be here” moments.

This is a close-up of how they actually look like. I wish we were able to go down. But thinking how dangerous that might be… Nevermind.
dsc08429cc
This area was a well equipped tourist area because they literally had railings to see this beauty all through the coast line.

The first peak we went to when we reach Loch Ard Gorge.

I fell in love with the patterns of the sandstone cliffs, if you didn’t notice by now.

Heading down to the water. Just a heads up! The stairway wasn’t bad at all. Any able person who can normally climb stairs won’t find it hard to do this.

I don’t actually know the man in this photo but he was a good subject for this photo!

This was at The Arch, which I didn’t really find that too amusing but the scenery was beautiful nonetheless.

I was really obsessed with how my camera picked up the texture of the shrubs.

Coast of London Bridge

The London Bridge. The connecting part actually already collapsed years ago. There was a funny story about it as well.

The Grotto. I have to say that it was very pretty down there because I did do a trek all the way down, but there were too many flies for me to function normally(city girl problems) and the line to take the photo at the actual grotto was too long. So I just took my photos and left.

Upon entering our last stop at the Bay of Martyrs, I got this serene but eerie feeling. I thought that it could’ve been the weather because the sun was setting but I couldn’t help but feel a bit heavy for no apparent reason. It turns out that this was where hundreds of problematic Aboriginal people were killed/slaughtered before, hence the name Bay of Martyrs.

I still found it so beautiful nonetheless.

So should you try this out? Definitely, if you have the luxury of time and resources to make it happen. But an overnight itinerary to do all this would be less tiring for you, if you were to make this a road trip. THE VIEWS THOUGH! Editing all my photos from this specific day, instantly made me so sentimental about my whole trip to Australia.
