How To Stay Healthy If You Don’t Have Time For The Gym

If you are a working gal like me, your only chance to work out is waking up at the crack of dawn or running to the gym straight out of work, but when six o’ clock strikes motivation is nowhere to be found! So how can a career girl/boy like yourself stay healthy?

Watch TV and…

Got a few TV series you need to catch up on? I know I do! One of my lazy, but super effective tricks to hitting two bird with one stone is exercising while watching TV. Whether you are doing some squats, leg lifts or cycling, just keep moving!

Workout From Home

Exercising at home works for a lot of people especially when they aren’t so comfortable with exercising in public yet. Trade in a Netflix show for a 30 minutes workout show or Try using the NikeFit app!

Commute To Work

If you live a few blocks away from your work, you might be better off walking the extra mile than taking the bus or the train there. Burn whatever calories you can before you are stuck sitting at your desk!

Make Working Out A Thing

Working out can easily become a time for you to catch up with your friends instead of catching up over a bottle of wine. Take a walk outside with the girls. Nature can do wonders for your quality of life!

Take The Stairs

I am SO guilty of this. I always prefer taking the lift or the escalator. Take the stairs or maybe even run up them. You can even skip some steps to add some extra workout points! You will be burning calories and toning your legs at the same time.

Sephora & US Drugstore Haul!

Hi there! I know hauls might seem a bit of a shallow topic to talk about sometimes. But whenever I get a bunch of new makeup, I usually give a TON away as well because TBH I don’t need as much anyway. I only have one face and apply makeup once a day(usually). But nevertheless, I still want to share with you all the bits that I got for Colourpop, CVS and Sephora. Hope you enjoy it!

I won’t be talking much about the bits I picked up from Colourpop because I made a separate blog post about it previously, so if you would like to see it, link here!!

Moving on…

When it cam to Sephora, I had a few purchases in mind. I wanted something new to review, something I hadn’t heard about before. I got the Dr. Jart+ Beauty Balm in Light-Medium. I have to say, I am quite excited to give this a review on the blog(who is with me?) The Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Lovely was also must to get or any other amazing shade from that line.

I needed to restock on my Rimmel London Match Perfection Concealer in 230 Fair because I use that tube of magic literally everyday. So much love for drugstore brands that have your exact skin tone for such a good price. I just had to get the L’Oreal Visible Lift Blur Foundation in 201 Light because the curious I am just had to.

Powders are a huge necessity in my life. I use them everyday. So the geek that I am, I go through a bunch of compacts a year(about 3-4 a year). Imagine buying four high end powders a year?!?! Where the heck am I going to get all that money? That’s why I got the Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless Powder in 110 Porcelain and the Physician Formula Mineral Airbrushing Pressed Powder in Creamy Natural.

Another product that I use on the daily is the Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer

And of course, I had to get something skin care related! But this time its a repurchase, the First Aid Beauty Pure Skin Face Cleanser has got to be my fave cleanser. It never broke my skin out or irritated it.

Eyewear Made Easy by OTTICA

I need to have three major components in my life that keep me afloat. These three are sleep, food and my eyeglasses. I have mentioned before that I have been wearing eyeglasses every since I was about 5 years old due to stigmatism and what not. So you can just imagine how many specs I have ruined, grew out of and just fell out of love with in the past 18 years(long time).

When OTTICA first reached out to me and offered a generous deal. I was ecstatic! I am still not used to people giving me free things(I don’t think I ever will). OTTICA is an online eyewear company that caters to literally every need an eyeglass wearer needs, from A to Z. But i’ll get to that in a bit.

They carry household brands that are loved by many like Ray Ban, Tory Burch, Michael Kors, Versace, to name a few. When ordering a pair, you can get them with no prescription, distance (single vision), reading (single vision), progressives (smooth transitions for all distances; I have this for my everyday eyewear) and bifocals (reading and distance). See I told you they do everything. But wait, there is more.

So when it came to what I wanted to get, I was thinking of getting a pair of specs but wasn’t too sure. I wanted something classic, a piece that will grow old with me(don’t want to grow old though), versatile, not too dressy and of course, the basic biatch I am, I wanted it to be casual. So after much thought and convincing, I decided to get a pair of Ray Ban Clubmasters in Tortoise. Here are the rest of the Ray Bans that they carry, link here!

When you order from OTTICA, they give you options for your decided thickness of your lenses. They have three options. They come in thin air (+2.00–2.00), advanced thin (25% lighter than normal lenses) and ultra thin (35% lighter than normal lenses).

At OTTICA, when you order a pair of sunglasses, you can upgrade your lenses to tinted shades (they come in Gray, Brown and Green; comes with purchase), polarized lenses (reduces glare) and Mirrored (comes in 5 shades; Red, Blue, Gold, Green and Silver).

When I placed my order, I was told that my package will come in 10-14 business days, which is about 3 weeks. I didn’t really mind since I knew that it was coming from overseas. I then got a text from a courier that it was arriving on June 6. I even prepared the 5% tax they usually ask for upon international delivery. But I guess that the tax fee came with the delivery charge, which was $25USD.

To my surprise, it arrived on a Thursday, not even a week since I ordered it. Now that’s service!

Did I mention that every purchase comes with a 365 day warranty or your money back! With free shipping and returns! OTTICA literally does all the stops!
