L’Oreal Visible Lift Blur Foundation | The Review

DSC01328

Whenever I need to review a new base product, I always test them out a few weeks in advance to thoroughly review the  product. With the L’Oreal Paris Visible Lift Blur Foundation, right of the bat, I already knew that this product was an anti-aging product, which was a first for me, in terms of foundations.

It owns up to their claim that it erases fine lines, wrinkles and smoothens skin because upon application it almost felt like I was putting on a mattifying primer. It really looked like it smoothened my skin! Amazing!

But what I don’t get is the “Visible Lift” aspect. Maybe in the long run, if I use this product for the next 3 years, I might be able to see the ‘lift’ they were talking about. But I noticed no instant lift results on application.

Maybe it was the shade that I got, but I noticed that when I tried to apply this to cover my under eyes, all it did was emphasize it. Although I think it was because the shade I got had a blue undertone.

But in terms of consistency, this foundation easily blends on skin even if it isn’t the perfect match.

So should you get this foundation? Since this base is a bit on the pricey side of drugstore bases($14.99), maybe you should just grab the L’Oreal True Match Foundation.

Sephora & US Drugstore Haul!

DSC01498

Hi there! I know hauls might seem a bit of a shallow topic to talk about sometimes. But whenever I get a bunch of new makeup, I usually give a TON away as well because TBH I don’t need as much anyway. I only have one face and apply makeup once a day(usually). But nevertheless, I still want to share with you all the bits that I got for Colourpop, CVS and Sephora. Hope you enjoy it!

I won’t be talking much about the bits I picked up from Colourpop because I made a separate blog post about it previously, so if you would like to see it, link here!!

Moving on…

When it cam to Sephora, I had a few purchases in mind. I wanted something new to review, something I hadn’t heard about before. I got the Dr. Jart+ Beauty Balm in Light-Medium. I have to say, I am quite excited to give this a review on the blog(who is with me?) The Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Lovely was also must to get or any other amazing shade from that line.

I needed to restock on my Rimmel London Match Perfection Concealer in 230 Fair because I use that tube of magic literally everyday. So much love for drugstore brands that have your exact skin tone for such a good price. I just had to get the L’Oreal Visible Lift Blur Foundation in 201 Light because the curious I am just had to.

Powders are a huge necessity in my life. I use them everyday. So the geek that I am, I go through a bunch of compacts a year(about 3-4 a year). Imagine buying four high end powders a year?!?! Where the heck am I going to get all that money? That’s why I got the Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless Powder in 110 Porcelain and the Physician Formula Mineral Airbrushing Pressed Powder in Creamy Natural.

Another product that I use on the daily is the Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer

And of course, I had to get something skin care related! But this time its a repurchase, the First Aid Beauty Pure Skin Face Cleanser has got to be my fave cleanser. It never broke my skin out or irritated it.

Pixi H20 Skin Tint | The Review

DSC01171

You all know I have a love for makeup bases. I write about everything I have tried in the past. You can check them all out here!

I have been a huge fan of the Pixi by Petra brand every since Judy from ItsJudysLife talked about her in one of her blogs. I first tried the Pixi Brow Duo (which I am on my second tube already). I made a review on that product here

I love Pixi for their REAL makeup. When I say real, I mean that they encourage their followers to embrace their own and take care of their skin. They don’t really have any out of a girl’s comfort zone. Their skincare caters to a whole range of skin types in a bunch skin care steps!

But today, I want to talk about the Pixi H20 Skin Tint. It is a lightweight water-based tinted face gel that evens out your skin tone and give you the perfect no makeup-makeup look.

This base is basically perfect for someone who loves a light base and not too much coverage. BUT I wish this had even a bit of SPF in it. Skin cancer is amongst us people! We have to protect our face at all times.

The gel itself comes out quite thick out of the tube but evens out quickly when you blend it all around your face. I wouldn’t say that this base is in no way long lasting because when you put it on, you don’t really notice that its on anyway…?

So would I recommend this to any of you? Maybe, maybe not.. If you want something light and fuss free then go right ahead! But if you are looking for something to cover up essentially, save your wallet for a more useful purchase!
