Current Nightly Skincare Routine

Skin care is something I wished I had practiced earlier in my life, especially back in high school. I thought then that it was unnecessary and a waste of money. But to my surprise, I was wrong. Taking good care of your skin, is just as important as taking care of your body. So start early before you see the effects of ageing and sun damage(because I am seeing it as of 22 years old).

After a long stressful day at work/school, cleansing my face would definitely one of the things that make me look forward to coming home. There is just a sublime feeling of wiping all that oil and makeup of your face. I can’t explain it. You just have to try it out for yourself with products that best fit your skin.

I first Bioderma Sensibio H20 with a flat cotton pad to wipe off my makeup from the day. I prefer to use this because it resembles more of a miscellar water so I find it easy to remove
dsc00169off my skin gently and down my neck(because I put some bronzer down there). The Sebamed Clear Face Deep Cleansing Toner is one that I find removes even more (dirt) of my face because sometimes(most of the time) a makeup remover isn’t enough to clean it out totally. I also just put some on a flat cotton pad then wipe it all over my face but NO ON MY EYES.

I usually put a dollop of the Jurlique Nutri-Define Refining Foaming Cleanser on my finger tip, spread it on my hands and run it under water. That’ll make it all foamy and you’re ready to lather it all over your face! I like that it has no strong scent to it!

Can you tell that I am a big fan of Jurlique? After rinsing my face witht he cleanser, I use Jurlique Rose Water Balancing Mist all over my face to just rehydrate my skin after a long day! And the rose scent does help too!

The First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Hydra-Firm Sleeping Cream has got to be my favorite ever night cream. I find that it has an especially thick consistency and is very hydrating. It will definitely be a sad day when I run out of this one! Lastly, the ORIGINS Eye Doctor Moisture Care  is an eye cream that is cucumber infused(or somewhat). This feels really good if you keep it refrigerated before applying, but not everyone has a refrigerator in their bathroom!(I wish I did)

What’s your nightly skin care routine?

VMV Hypoallergenics Superskin 2 Monolaurin + Mandelic Acid Toner | First Impressions

The last time I used a toner was probably in high school when I used to go to my weekly dermatologist to have treatments done-not the best of times. And ever since that time, I haven’t really been using one, which makes it almost 5 years of going without one. Thankfully, I saw those email alerts of online sales on beautymnl!

VMV Hypoallergenics Superskin 2 Monolaurin+Mandelic Acid Toner– Before using any type of skin care, I usually read the instructions to make sure what I am going to apply it is actually the correct way. So upon reading the how to’s and what not’s, I learned that when you start using this toner, it is not advisable to use it everyday directly. The instructions recommended that I start using this two-three times a week then gradually use it more and more every week until you use it ten times a week.

I must admit that I was a bit scared to use this in the beginning because of the acidy smell. The smell is so strong that it might turn you off but when I realized there must be a purpose for why it is this way…Then I noticed using its significance after I removed my make up using a miscellar water that there must’ve been make up left on my face.

Low and behold the wonders of what this toner can do! After try this for a few weeks, I realized that toners are a must in a weekly to triweekly skincare regimen. They really do make a difference. I also noticed a lot of my pimples started to clear up after a few weeks of using this. I hope I can get the whole set of this soon!

Just incase you didn’t know, VMV also have their own blog! Follow them at

Would love to hear from you!
